BWRT® stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a modern model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. It uses a totally logical, practical and down-to-earth working method in which it’s not necessary for you to talk about anything you would rather not discuss – the practitioner only needs to know how you feel and how you would prefer to feel instead. BWRT® is unlike any other therapy you might have heard of or read about, using the latest discoveries in neuroscience coupled with your own unique brain processes to help you get better. Only Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code. Find out more at http://www.bwrt.org

BWRT works by targeting the brain’s natural processes, allowing you to reframe and resolve deep-seated issues without the need to discuss distressing details.

CALM for Anxiety, ADHD, and more

Are you tired of battling anxiety, affected by ADHD, or on the never ending waiting list for assessment? Maybe you're feeling trapped by worry, and longing for a life filled with peace and confidence? It's time to break free and discover the transformative power of the CALM Programme.

Harnessing the synergy of cutting-edge BWRT techniques and personalised mindfulness practices, our program offers a revolutionary approach to conquering anxiety or channelling ADHD, and embracing life with unwavering confidence.

Please note: This programme is not intended to 'cure' ADHD, rather it is an effective method of taking control of the impact this can have on you.

Weight Loss and Eating Disorders

BWRT® offers a unique approach to the major problem of eating disorders - and is designed to address Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Obesity. It can also achieve great results with Orthorexia.

It is usually assumed that underlying emotional issues are responsible for eating disorders; however with the BWRT programme there's no need to spend moths searching for the source of that emotions, because BWRT can quickly resolve the fundamental driver behind it!

I am also a Certified Nutrition Coach, so I am able to provide professional nutrition advice and guidance to supplement the success of your therapy. This is included in any agreed package, so you will not have to pay more to another practitioner!

Professional Development and Success

BWRT® is incredible for shifting blocks to success.

Almost all of us are affected by our own saboteurs and this can lead to self-doubt, lack of confidence, and the now familiar Imposter Syndrome.

EVERY professional I speak to is impacted by at least one of these - you are not alone!

I work very effectively with people like you who are driven to success. yet feel you are missing something necessary to really shine.

Testimonials

JP is a wonderful coach and therapist and I can’t recommend him highly enough – here’s why. Over the past year I have developed a very bad habit: binge drinking. I went from liking a drink to being unwilling and unable to stop drinking once I had had a couple of glasses of wine. I knew this was doing me no good whatsoever and I wanted to stop bingeing but be able to go back to enjoying just a glass or two from time to time. A friend suggested I try BWRT and I decided to give it a go. I liked the idea because BWRT is not counselling, it’s something very different - a blend of coaching and therapy. He very skilfully took me through a process that helped me discard the old binge drinker and replace her with a wise social drinker. He also helped me protect myself against relapses by helping me create some trigger guards that I can use in situations where I might find myself wanting to binge. There was some homework, but I actually enjoyed doing it and it felt like it was really helping me. As a practitioner JP is very skilled, kind and empathetic. I felt I could tell him anything and he wouldn’t judge me. He rocks and so does BWRT.

I am so grateful to have found JP. Over the years I have had many different types of therapy. None had a long lasting effect and some left me feeling worse than I did before. Relentless repeating of traumatic stories to the endless different professionals left me quite adverse to trying anything new. So, as you can imagine, like many people, I was very sceptical to begin with.

JP has a magical manner, one which puts you in charge of you, an empathy for your soul. Nothing you say is irrelevant, he cares beyond anyone in this line of work I have ever seen or heard of.

Even though this was a success, JP could sense there was still things holding me back, we started working with other memories. I'm stumped as to know what to say next really...I had some very difficult, anxiety inducing, saddening memories, with JP's time and patience (and he needed that in abundance with me) I now have created new memories and all related feelings have completely changed.

Thank you JP from the bottom of my heart, you really help people to make a difference and live a happy life.

ABBIE BLACKMORE

I contacted Jean-Paul as I had been seriously affected by childhood events and I had been struggling with self esteem and relationships for over 20 years. Jean-Paul took the time to listen to everything I wanted to say, and he very clearly explained how he could help. He told me about BWRT and I was very sceptical at first. Against my expectations, this approach worked wonderfully and ridiculously quickly. In only a few sessions, my life was changed and the beliefs that held me back for so long have disappeared. Jean-Paul has a wonderful style; he has empathy and compassion, and he is so focused on helping people in a personal and professional way. Thank you so much J-P, you have done so much for me, and I cannot recommend you enough.

FAQs

How many sessions will I need?

Unlike many common forms of therapy and counselling, BWRT often creates very rapid results.

I won't expect you to sign up to months of therapy! Following an initial, free consultation, I will recommend an approach based on the information you provide. For more straightforward problems such as fears and phobias, I may recommend only one or two sessions. For more complex issues, I will recommend the minimum duration based on my assessment and experience with similar issues. This ensures that you are not bound to an excessive amount of sessions; and will allow us to review progress before any agreement to additional sessions.

With the exception of sessions for fears and phobias, most of my clients have needed between 4 and 6 sessions - this can be considerably less that other therapies. For example, if you have Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), a programme of CBT will usually take from 12 to 20 sessions to be effective. The most complex issues can take longer to resolve, and sometimes a coaching process may be beneficial; however this is the exception, and you will never be made to feel that you must continue to work with me!

All packages include a full intake process, which is similar to a detailed assessment.

What makes BWRT Now different to other therapy providers?

All BWRT® practitioners are qualified and experienced in achieving great results!

What makes me different is my unique blended approaches and programmes, and also my personal lived experience. My approach distinguishes itself through a client-centric approach that prioritises your unique needs and goals.

Is this programme suitable if I haven’t been formally diagnosed with ADHD?

Yes, our programme is designed to help manage symptoms even if you’re awaiting a clinical assessment.

Do you offer discounts?

My fees for sessions and programmes are predetermined, and I ensure that I am providing the best value possible. The packages I provide include discounts of at least 10%.

Although I understand the pressures faced during the cost-of-living crisis, I only occasionally offer discounts. I occasionally provide a service on a pro-bono basis, however this is usually offered as a result of professional referral. My capacity to provide pro-bono services is of course exceptionally limited.
